- 1954 Timber clear cutting resulted in purchase of land for conservation DEFEATED [pp.12-14]
- 1959 Potential development of private land by mineral co. resulted in PURCHASE of land for public use and conservation using Pittman-Robertson funds [pp. 12-15]
- 1972 State recreation plans described as "Grandiose Scheme" to remove roadside parking areas & develop Visitor Center, huge parking lots, lake and trails at environmentally sensitive Meadow Ground, etc. DEFEATED [pp.16-17]
